Causes For Low Grade Fever, fatigue And Headaches When Suffering From Graves Disease

I have esr of 34 with hx. Graves. Low grade fever 100 or less, fatigue, headaches off and on for past several weeks. All other labs normal. Should I be concerned of this. My internist thinks its nothing since it s not significant fever and other tests were normal. I m just so tired. Waking up exhausted. I also have had the sweats for months which my m.d. Attributes to zoloft.

Hi Dear,

Your fever could be very well due to Grave's disease if the hormonal levels are high. However, if you are on antithyroid drugs, occasionally your white cell count can drop down and you may develop fever. As your internist is not concerned, i guess he would have made sure that your blood counts are normal.

You must also consider other causes of fever if it is not settling.
