Cavity On Right Side Hence Chewing From Left Side, Have White Raw Patches On Left Side. How Can I Get Rid Of This?
I have a cavity on the right side in the back of my mouth so I have been chewing all food on the left side of my mouth. I am noticing large white raw patches on the left side of my mouth, feels like its on the whole inside of my left cheek. Any ideas, how long it will take to get rid of or things I can do to get rid of this? Things to avoid eating! Thanks a lot
hello,
the cavity on right side should get filled at the earliest .orelse it can effect the balanced occlusion of your mouth since all activities are done on your left side of mouth.
the white raw patches may be due to chronic cheek biting habit.it can also be due to chewing of tobacco-containing things like pan parag, gutka, tobacco leaves, squid etc.
if you have difficulty in eating or swallowing food,or burning mouth and difficulty in opening mouth, then it can be oral submucous fibrosis or leukoplakic lesions.get the biopsy and histopathological investigations of the lesion.we will do treatment according to that.
take care.
hello and welcome to hcm forum,
i would like to inform you that the white patches on the inside of your cheek are either due to cheek biting or in some cases, chronic smokers, tobacco chewers get it but,you have not mentioned anything about your oral habits.
i advise you to use an antibacterial(betadine) mouth wash(twice/day) for 1 week,
quit smoking /tobacco chewing if you do it.
also, the cavity in your tooth needs to be restored, in order to avoid getting an infection.
i recommend you to visit your dentist soon,
i wish you good health,
take care.
hello
since you having cavity in your tooth get it filled as soon
as possible before the condition worsens.white patches
can be of various reasons for that kindly provide with more
information like do you smoke, chew tobacco since these
habits cause leukoplakia and if you experience pain in cheek
then it could be ulceration due to cheek bite.consult your
dentist and get a biopsy done for that area

Hi, Thanks for asking... White patches in the mouth are a common symptom of infection, inflammation, trauma, malignancy, and other underlying conditions and diseases.Allergic reactions to food and other substances may also cause development of mouth white patches. Take a cup of warm water and then add half teaspoon of common salt in it. Once the salt dissolves you can use it as a mouth wash. Take multivitamin containing lycopene extracts once in a day for 10 days. Take care
White colour patches on the cheek can be due to inflammation, traumatic lesions, allergic reactions. Also can be Oral submucous fibrosis or leukoplakia, it usually occurs in chronic tobacco, betel nut chewers.
I would encourage you to visit the Dentist and get the tooth cavity filled. Also get the lesion examined if necessary take the essential radiographs.
Avoid smoking or tobacco chewing habits if present. Take multivitamin suplements. Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Hope this helps out.
Regards...
