Cellulite In Leg Causing Shaking, Fever And Swelling. How To Cure Completely?
my husband has been battling cellulitis on his legs for many years. it will just come on which causes shaking fever swelling, hot to touch on his legs only at this time he is in and out of the hospital on i.v. antibiotic which helps but does not cure it... He is a Vietnam vet servered 70-71'.
I can understand your concern for cellulitis on your husband's legs for many years. It appears that the area got secondarily infected.
You should meet your treating doctor or preferably a surgeon to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.
I suggest you to go for culture and sensitivity of the wound to know the exact organism causing the infection. For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
Take care.
