Hi Doctor. I do protected sex about 3 weeks ago, but i think my sex partner have risk of having hiv . 2 weeks after that day i feel so worry so i decide to do lab test. And the test use anti hiv (CMIA method). The result is 0.18 non reactive. Is that result can confirm hiv-negative 100% in case the test and the day i had sex just 2 weeks? What musti do next? What is CMIA anyway? Is it true CMIA related with the virus enzyme? Sorry for my bad english...and thank you
Tou have some chance ofhiv.you have done hiv antibody test. In this early days it will not come positive even if you are infected. Because antibodies development take some times that is called window period. so its not 100% confirm that youare negative. go for confirmatory test like p24 or pcr. For confirmation.
