Hello,
Emergency pill when taken within the stipulated time after an unprotected intercourse gives 99% protection. It also creates hormonal imbalance as it contains excess hormone and this can lead to breakthrough bleeds a well as delayed periods. Also, unprotected intercourse during the safe period has little risk of conception. In the current scenario, you need to wait for your next normal period and if you do not see it even after 10 days after it is due, please see a specialist for further help. Take care.
