Hello,
I have gone through your query and here are your answers: 1. Your cycles are irregular and so, it is difficult to assess your fertile or ovulation days.2. Your symptoms are suggestive of a very early pregnancy. 3. You can get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to confirm/exclude pregnancy in the current scenario. 4. The vaginal discharge could be either a breakthrough bleed or early implantation bleed. 5. A trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram will help to clarify the situation. Hope this helps.

OBGYN Dr. Nishikant Shrotri's  Response
Hallow Dear,

Your case is indeed a challenging one.

The first cardinal symptom of pregnancy is missing a period. However, since you have irregular menses, you will not know whether you have missed a period or your periods are delayed due to irregularity. Anyway, the chances of pregnancy when the menses are irregular are poor.

The other cardinal symptoms to appear after missed period are:

1. Nausea & vomiting with pica
2. Frequent urination
3. Breast changes: Engorgement with tenderness, dark discolouration of nipples & areola with increase in areolar size, Montgomery's tubercles under the areola and secretions from the nipples.

Usually these symptoms start appearing about 8-10 days after missed period. So, by the time these symptoms appear, the pregnancy test gives very reliable results. You are suffering from nausea and frequent urination. Hence, if these symptoms are due to pregnancy, by now the pregnancy test should be positive.

Please perform pregnancy test on overnight first morning urine test for more reliable results. Alternatively you may opt for Beta hCG test which is highly sensitive and can give reliable diagnosis even few days before missing a period.

Please try to understand that brown bleeding is never a sign of pregnancy. In fact, brown bleeding during any stage of pregnancy suggests the risk to the baby.

If you are not pregnant and still you do not get menses, you may take Tab. Deviry for 5 days. After 4-7 days you should get withdrawal bleeding. However, you should report to Gynaecologist for managing your irregular menstrual cycles to have a better family life and Obstetric carrier in future.

I hope this helps you.
