Change In Sensitivity In Left Testicle, Pain, Discomfort After Squeezing. Waiting For Ultrasound Result. Opinion?

I was worried that I noticed a change in sensitivity in my left testicle so went to the doctors. The doctor did an examination and squeezed until it was uncomfortable (which hurt at the time) he advised an ultra sound which I am awaiting an appointment. Since the examination a week ago I have been having intense pain which comes and goes in strength. I am sure this is a result of the examination but is this normal? I would have expected any discomfort to have subsided by now. I am worried

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Trauma- in your post you have mentioned about discomfort after squeezing
2. Infection- like orchitis or epididymo-orchitis
3. Hydrocele
4. Varicocele

Symptomatic relief will be obtained by intake of analgesics like Paracetamol & antispasmodics like Dicyclomine preparations.
Ultrasound Scan of the scrotum with colour doppler study will be helpful in detecting any problem in the structures present in that area, including any abnormality in the blood vessels (varicocele) or fluid accumulation (hydrocele).

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
