Check Up For Genetic Disorder During Pregnancy Came As Abnormal. What Could It Be?

I am 27 weeks pregnant, I am 43 years old and my dr. did three test on me to check for genetic disorders, one of the m came back as abnormal, He told me that the numbers for something being wrong with my baby are in my favor. However I never got the name of the disorder that was abnorma. He did say that it would cause the baby to die soon after birth. Can you try and help me figure out what this is so I can read more about it.

Hello,
It is indeed unfortunate that something abnormal has been detected with your baby. I will be able to help you better if you can send me the reports of whatever tests have been done. Considering your age, it is essential to test for fetal anomalies. The Triple test is only a screening test and not for diagnosis. It can be repeated followed by a high definition ultrasound. Amniocentesis is the last resort. The test is usually done between 16-20 weeks and in your case, it is late. Please get a second opinion before further decision. Hope this helps.
