hi, i would like to know how to interpret the chest PA xray of my mom... here s the details... the cardiac shadow shows a left ventricular prominence Hilar hazard likewise noted bilaterally A dense right hemidiaphragm seen with cephalic doming seen Bony structure are not remarkable CARDIOMEGALY WITH CONGESTIVE CHANGES RIGHT SUBPULMONARY EFFUSION

Please understand every investigation needs to be correlated clinically,this report points towards enlargement of heart wit heart failure features and subpulmonic effusion may be confirmed with lateral decubitus view and Chest ultra sonography.
Please visit your Physician who need to find out cause and treat accordingly.
Cardiomegaly may be due to High BP,coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease.
