Chest Pain While Lying On The Left Side, Tingling In The Hand. History Of Heart Murmur
Hi Stephen. I have had chest pains when lying on my left side for 3 nights in a row. Yesterday I did a 13km walk without any ill effects. The pain radiates right through my chest area, but when I lie on my right side it disappears completely. At the moment my left hand is eingling a bit, but it might be imagination. BTW I do have a heart murmur
Dear Sir
Although your question was directed to Dr Stephen but it was not answered for a long time so i am discussing this with you.
A chest pain with which you walked 13 kms or which disappeared with change in posture is not anginal (heart attack like). it more likely to be a local pain the cause for which can be deciphered by examination only. Since you have a heart murmur, details of which are not known to us, and have non-anginal pain and tingling sensation, they may point to one benign anomaly of heart valves but it not possible to make a definite comment. i would request you to see your doctor for knowing cause of this pain.
sincerely
