Child. Constant Ear Infection, Uti. Detected Ecoli And Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. On Augimintin. Possible UTI From Ear Infection?
My grandaughter who is 18mo. has had a constant ear infection and been told she will have to have tubes in her ears she also has had a uti and been thru a couple of antibiotics when we found out she had >100,000 ecoli and >10,000-50,000 pseudomonas aeruginosa. Which they put her on augmintin for. my question is since the bacteria in an ear infection is the pseu. aerug. and she now has it in her urine, could she of gotten it from the ear and just be infested with it? also I just notice that you charge for this How much I might decline this question

As your granddaughter has pseudomonas infection of both ear and urinary tract infection the infection has spread to the two sites through the blood. She needs a full course of antibiotics to control the infection.

Pseudomonas aeurignosa is a gram negative bacteria most commonly associated with urinary tract infection, but may cause other infections like ear, lungs, skin, gut etc.
For repeated or constant ear infections she may need tube placement in the ears to allow the discharge to come outside.
Consult an ENT surgeon for further management.
Give her plenty of oral fluids.
