Child. Dark, Bruise Type Mark Under The Skin On Cheek, Slightly Swollen Eye. No History Of Fall. Reason?

Hi, my two year old daughter seems to have a dark bruise type mark on her cheek which appeared a couple of days ago. It looks a bit like a bruise but it seems a bit too much under the skin to be a bruise, if that makes sense. She also had a slightly swollen eye on the same side yesterday, though that does appear to have gone down today. Nothing's happened to her, she's been with me the whole time, she hasn't fallen or anything as far as I'm aware, so I can't think how she could have got this bruise.

Hi and welcome to HCM. Thank you for your query.
There is a possibility that she got hit and didnt notice it or there was insect bite. Secondly it can be caused by certain haematological disorders so check her blood clotting function to rule this out. Third cause is allergy reaction which can manifest on this way. If this persist it van be deep haemangioma and then some other treatment methods should be performed. Wish you good health.
