My 7year old son has had water like dirrhea for 3 days now with vomiting and stomach pain but afebrile and vitals WNL. Took to ER and the doctor ddnot order labs only gave me a rx for zorfam for him. Concerned he does not want to eat or drink anything. I am taking him to his primary MD in the morning. Is there anythng I can do for him until then. Thought it was a stomach virus and it jst needed to run its course.
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Thanks for asking a question to H.C.M.F. Your 7 year child had a watery diarrhea, voming and stomach pain since 3 days. Doctor gave prescription of zorfam. He doesn't want to eat or or drink. It appears to be viral diarrhea, and needs to be look after to prevent dehydration. Give him plenty of coconut water, and electolyte powders, and plenty of liquids, till you go to the doctor. The doctor will give some medicins for diarrhea, stomach pain, and vomiting. If necessory he may give infusion of fluids. Don't worry he will be fine in no time. Best regards.
