Welcome to HCM.It would be best to consult your Paediatrician/Doctor who needs to assess the respiratory system and examine the child.Lung function studies will help assess any allergy induced bronchospasm ,other problems can also be assessed by doing the relevant tests as suggested by the physical findings on examination and the history.Allergies can cause bronchospasm which has symptoms like those of asthma.Keeping the environment clear of allergens will help. The treatment of both diseases is very similar with use of oral and inhaled steroids and bronchodilators.
