Child. Low White Blood Cell Count. Low Appetite. Suggest A Diet Plan

Hi my 11 year old son was diagnose with low white blood cell count 3 years ago last year he did his check up and it went up to a 9. A week ago he did his check up and the doctor called me and say its low again. Please advice me on what to do. My son doesn't like to eat. I take him to a hematologist that the doctor referred him to but all he does is take his blood and say its low bring him on another visit I did that like about four time, the doctor never recommend or tell me how I can help my son with this situation. Please if there is any way I can help my son. Thank you

Thank you for your query.

I can understand your concern. However, you have not specified the units and the differential count. What other investigations have been performed? The normal total white cell count varies from 3,000 to 11,000 per cu. mm. If nothing has been reported over the past three years than hopefully every thing is normal and you should not worry.
