Child. On Banocide Syrup And Allegra For Dry Cough. Prescribed Ventorlin Syrup And Montair 1c Kid. Safe?
Dear Doctor, if a Two and half year old baby had taken Banocide syp(Diethylcarbamazine citrate) and Allegra(Fexofinodine hcl) for last 21 days for dry cough during bed time and now doctor suggest again Ventorlin syp(sulbutamol) and Montair lc kid(Montelucast and Levocetrizine ) how much it is safe for the baby pls suggest.
It seems that the doctor hasn't reached a diagnosis in your case and is trying all forms of treatment ... perhaps it would be wise to ask the doctor what he/she thinks is wrong with your baby, and why is he/she using different kinds of remedies.
At the same time, it is wise to remember that almost all medicines have some form of side effect or the other, and using medicines when they are not needed is mostly not justifiable. But, if indicated, one has to understand whether using them is more beneficial than the danger their side-effects may produce.
