Child. Soreness In The Back Of Head Where It Was Hit, Small Bump. No Bleeding, Concussion. Concerning?
Son, age 9 hit back of head on concrete at recess Tuesday afternoon. He had a small bump but no blood. Nurse said he had no symptoms of concussion. Rested Tuesday night, did light running at sports class the next day..no problems. No symptoms but said he is still sore only where he hit his head. No headaches. Very alert and normal behavior for a 9 year old boy. Ive held him out of football practices thus far. Suggestions for when I allow him to return..he wanted to play yesterday and today but I was concerned about the soreness still being there. Suggestions?
