Hi, I am really worried about my 5 year old son. My Gp said he is underweight at 2 and a half stone and he also suffers from loose stools. He ha been refered to the hospital as my Gp is think he might have an intolerance or his intestines are not workin properly what could be wrong with him? Cud it be cancer? please help, i am so scared thank u x
Welcome to Health Care Magic Hope you are doing good , Kids often have Loose Motion ( Diarrhea) and with it they loose weight. You did not mentioned here that how many episodes of Loose motion he passes in a day , did you notice any mucus or blood in has diarrhea , is it watery ? If he had few episodes and there are no sign of dehydration. you should give him. Probiotics Zinc Syrup ORS If fever Paracetamol If there are sign of dehydration you should take him to your family pediatrician to re-hydrate him. There is no need to worry that much. usually intestinal cancer does not have these symptoms. I Hope have answered your query Regards
