Child Diagnosed With A Choroid Plexus Papilloma. Had Multiple Re-sections And Burr Hole Surgery After Hemorrhage. Have Epilepsy. Advice?
My son has a variety of medical conditions. Diagnosed with a choroid plexus pappilloma 5 years ago. He has had three re-sections, burr hole surgery after a haemorhage and another surgery to insert a VP shunt. He has had the shunt revised three times and had an ICP monitor put in to monitor levels of pressure. He sufferes from Epilepsy and is currently on Topamax (50mg morning and night) and Lovan (fluoxetine) to balance his moods. He complains of a hot feeling in his head and earlier said this was occuring along with a headache and fell quickly asleep. Any thoughts?
Since he has a history of hemorrhage, it is worthwhile to go for investigations again. The hot feeling can also be due to local irritation from the VP shunt. Hope he recovers Take care
