Hi, my sister's baby boy had open hart surgery 10 days ago. Since then his abdomen is swollen en sensitive to the touch. He also has an infection, which they don't know where it is. They tested his blood and organs, did a sonar this afternoon and doesn't find anything wrong. He really have a lot of pain today, they sedated him because he wouldn't stop crying.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I can understand your concern. However, it is not possible for me to give you any reason for the swollen abdomen or pain or the location of the infection without having all the findings and examination of the child. The treating doctors are in the best position to give any guidance as they know the details of the case.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your sister's son an early recovery.

Regards,
