What else could I do for his early cure & how long it would take . ( conditions are still same till now frequent fever & pain ), will you please advise me ??
you are getting one of the best medicine for abscess.so have faith on your doctor.its just from yesterday night you have started the medicine.it will take little time to act.with time the swelling and redness should decrease but if it doesnot thn consult your doctor may be the drug is not working which may happen if bacteria present in abscess is resistant to it but chances are low.atleast wait for 24 hrs and if the conditon does not improves or worsens then ask your doctor for next step.at present your doctor has given you one of the best available medicine for your son.
Welcome to HCM Greetings of the day The cause of his high spiking fever is pus. Pus anywhere in the body has to be drained as antibiotic will not act till the abscess/pus is adequately drained. Consult a Pediatric Surgeon and he will drain it by simple out patient procedure. Regards Take Care
