Child Has Cold And Pneumonia. Given Duolin And Antibiotics. Is Being Underweight A Sign Of Danger?

Dear Doctor,
My son is near to completing 1 months in another 2 day.
he is 3.9 kgs. Since past 10 days he was sick with cold nimonia the. Our doctor initially gave antibitic and nebulization (Duolin). But last 2 days he is sick with loose motions. He is still having little bit cough. I am worried if he is now underweight and is there any danger that we should know and address.

thanks for ur query at hcm.
since your child is suffering from pneumonia.he is having a chance of parenteral diarrhoea.this is nothing but infection from one part of the body is being letting out of the body from another source.
you need not worry for this.
secondly regarding your child weight.his weight is normal.
thirdly,pls remember the danger signs:
1.severely dehydrated
2.impaired consciuosness
3.no oral intake at all.
Fouthly:his cough will last for a total of approximately 10 days.cough is the last symptom to go in pneumonia.
