Hi dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Investigations to be carried out like;-
Stool Routine & Microscopic examination,
Stool ph & Reducing substances,
Stool culture & sensitivity.
If positive Stool culture, then it will guide us about the type of bug involved and according to the sensitivity result we can use proper antibiotic with complete doses.
If the ph of the stool is acidic ,or the reducing substances are positive then we are dealing with
lactose intolerance.
Lactose intolerance can be dealt with avoiding the eatables containing lactose and sugar (like any sort of milk). Now days lactose free milk are available in the market.
Our child is one year old , we can easily skip milk for few days by giving diet like (rice, dal vegetables etc).
Child should also be investigated for worm infestations.
Some chronic infection also be ruled out like Koch`s Abdomen and malabsorbtion etc.
Feeding hygiene should be strictly checked.
Hope the query is answered.
Thanks
