Hi
Anemia of Prematurity and Physiological anemia are the causes of low hemoglobin in your child. In prematurity because of low iron transfer from the mother is the cause of anemia. To prevent anemia in preterms iron supplementation is needed. At present in your child blood transfusion is required to increase hemoglobin to a level from there it is increased to normal by giving iron and other hematinics such as vitamins B and C
