Child Has Rectal Pain. Cause?

grandson is complaining og rectum pain. he isn 3 years old. last night he ate some kettle cooked potatoe chips with mesquite bar-b-que flavor. could that be a cause ? He has been c/o pain since early morning.( his pain is intermittent @ an observed level of 5- 6/10. sorry I don't have a card to purchase your service currently. thank you for your time ;-)

Hi dear
Welcome to the board of Health care magic,

Dear sir Your child might be developing some boil or abscess in or around the anal area.
It can only be confirmed by examining the part directly. If same is confirmed then one should start relevant antibiotic and analgesics. He may respond to this treatment.

If the child is constipated and passing hard stools. It is quite common cause of pain in the rectal area. For that we should relieve his constipation and some local anesthetic cream or gel to be applied in and around the anus to relax the sphincter.
Here also some analgesic may be required to alleviate the symptoms.
