Hi

How did she injure her hip? Was the mode of injury severe enough to cause fracture on both sides?

Does she have any other underlying problems like osteopenia or vitmain D deficiency that makes her bones weak and more prone for breaking? Discuss this with your doctor.

Pins and needles in your kid may be due to a condition called Sciatica- in which the sciatic nerve that comes out to the thighs from pelvis gets compressed or irritated. It might be associated with the hip bone injury she had. But the pins and needles will be felt in her entire lower limb.
If only in the foot, it might be because of compression or irritation of smaller nerves that supply the foot.

Other causes like hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, vit B12 deficiency, Vit D deficiency, medications like antiepileptic medications etc can also produce such symptoms.
Based on the cause, treatment will be given accordingly.

Hope I have answered your Query.
Wish good health for your daughter.
