Hi,
Your son got LRTI or pneumonia-like symptoms.
You should start Syr.Co-trimoxazole antibiotic for 5 days twice a day.
along with syr.paracetamol thrice daily to relieve Fever.
Both in dose of 2.5 ml.
Consult physician when symptoms exagarated.
take care.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child seems having an episode of upper respiratory tract infection mostly due to a virus or bacteria.

Continue the medication as advised.

Antibiotic will take some time to control the infection, hence to decrease the fever.

Therefore nothing to worry, continue the medication, and consult the doctor if the fever persisting even after 3 days of antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
