Child Has Tickling Near Vagina. Had UTI Twice. Reason?

My 5 year old daughter was treated for 2 uti's and she has been doin good, but for quite a few weeks now, even before her infections started, she would walk around constsantly grabbing the top area of her vangina and pulling on it, she always says it "tickles", it never hurts or burns, she laughs about it and always says it is just really "tickly". She has been to a Urologist and he didnt seem to find anything, I am also at a loss. Does anybody know what it could be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I can understand you concern. However if the urine reports are normal and there is no redness or any local infection then you need not worry about it. It is quite likely that it has become a habit with her and by constantly talking about it one is getting attention. If everything is fine then just neglect this behaviour and draw her attention to other things so that she does not take her hands there.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter all the best.
