Child Has Watery Yellow Stools, Fever. Taken Zenflox. Is This Okay?

Today morning my 9 months old baby boy passed watery yellow stools. Some few days back he passed same watery stools 2 - 3 times after 15 days of fever at that time I have given zenflox oz (2.5 ml). He stopped the watery stools. But after 5 days he again passed watery yellow stools and I have again give him zenflox oz (2.5 ml) (without doctor prescription is this ok)

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your child is having enteritis which is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
Most important is to maintain and monitor hydration.
I do not recommend any seld medication.
Antibiotics are given in case of bacterial infection and that too after cinsulting doctor.
I suggest you to give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool.
Give lemonade,buttermilk,curd,rice porridge,banana,boiled potato.
Give probiotic for 3 to 4 days.
Zinc is also required for 14days.
Watch for urine output/activity
I suggest you to get him examined by pediatrician as he may need stool examination.
