Child Having Blood In Stool, Allergic To Soy. Put On Alimentum. Giving Strawberry Pedialyte. Can This Cause Allergy?

My 3 month old son has had blood in his stool since last Wednesday. I took him to the dr on Thursday and his pediatrician said he was allergic to soy (we had already discovered he was allergic to milk protein.) They put him on alimentum. The blood has since continued. The only thing that has changed in his diet is we have been giving him strawberry pedialyte. Is it possible he is allergic to this? We went to the ER and they drew blood and took a chest and stomach xray. Everything came back normal.

Hi, it appears that the child has some infection, of the gut, or change in the gut flora.Or may be allergic to the strawberry essence, or the color.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe furazolidone, metronidazole, and probiotics. Thank you.
