My 3 year old daugther just grew large lumps on both temples right before my eyes. I had just gotten her out of the tub and she was eating her bedtime snack (all usual foods) when she started complaining of something in the back of the inside of her cheek. Within the 3rd check for whatever was bugging her (5 minutes) I noticed the swelling. She has no fever, ate her snack and has been herself since. Her pupils dilate correctly and her eyes can follow a light. I gave her Benedryl rigjt away in case its an allergic reaction but its been an hour and the lumps are style there. How long should I wait it out before heading to the hospital?
