Child Having Loose Motions, Passing Mucus, Blood In Stool. Relief With Ornidazol, Oflox. Good Medication For Diarrhea?

Hi my daughter is 22 months old.Recently she had a loose motions 5 to 6 times a day.I gave her ornidazol & oflox 2.5 ml three times a day.frequency is reduced and now she is better.But I want you to suggest me best medicine for diarrhea.Because in last one year she had a diarrhea for 5 to 6 times.I am little worried about it,she passes mucus and blood in a stool when she has a loose motions.Please tell me is it common in babies or I need to investigate.

Hi, it appears that she is a case of lactose intolarance, means allergic to the milk and milk products. it can be confirmed by testing the reducing substances in the stools. It usually is cured automatically at the age of 5 years.
Till that time for maintenance consult a pediatritian for diagnosis and treatment,You may have to stop giving milk, and start giving soya substitutes. . Thank you.
