Child Having Loose, Smelly Motions After Eating Half Boiled Egg. Took Medicines, Problem Persists But Less Frequency. Suggestions?

After eating an half-boiled egg my son having watery, smelly motions 10-12 times in a day. Our doctor first advised zanocin 100 for 5 days with zinconia for 20 days. The number of motions is reduced to 5 to 6 times but not totally cured. Then we visit after 7 days , and he gave him septran. After 5 days my son has not completely cured. Still he showering at least 5 times a day. Sometime watery sometime normal with acidic smell. Kindly advice.

Hi,I had through query and understand your concern.

Probably your child has been suffering from amoebic dysentery which needs to be treated with antiprotozoal drugs like metronidazole/tinidazole etc .

So my suggestion is:Please meet your local doctor and get a stool R/M/E report to confirm the diagnosis and get treated accordingly.

In the mean time,continue oral rehydration solution (ORS) after each loose motion to correct water and electrolytes loss.
