Child Having Rash. Applied Cortisone Cream, Witc Hazel. See The Doctor?

My almost 3 year old woke up about 2 hours ago with a rash. At first it looked like he slept on an ant hill, it has increased a bit over the past hour. he is still playing, etc, and not complaining. I put some cortisone cream and witch hazel on it .Should I wait to see if it gets worse ? I am in Az., and it is 112 outside, but he has been mostly inside at 80 degrees.

Hi and thanks for this query.

I will suggest you wait and observe a little. It may have been a simple allergic reaction from an ant or bug bite. If it should get worse, then consider seeing a pediatrician. I a comfortable saying this because he has no complaints as of now.

Hope this helps. Wish your 3years old good health and a speedy recovery.
