Child Keeps Chewing On Almost Everything, Has White Inside Lips And Mouth. Any Psychological Issue?

my granddaughter keeps chewing on everything: batteries, little pieces of plastic etc. Anything. She s three so i wondered if she needs a pacifier...its scary because the other day her lips and mouth was white on the inside...is something psychologically wrong with her? Her mom is away for a couple more months....thanks!!:)

Hi concerned grand parent,
This is not the time for pacifier definitely.
Now at 3 years she defnitelynunderstqns the meaning of NO!
You have to train her properly.
This called pica- just rule out anemi a nd wotminfestations in the baby.
Chewing batteries is very dangerous and inadvertently if she takes medicines is also a problem-so keep theses things away from her reach!
