Hi Both Montek LC and Monticope- contain the same medications- Monteleukast and Levocetirizine. Its given to prevent frequent attacks of allergic rhinitis/ asthma, that present with cold, cough, wheeze etc. Usual allergens are dust, smoke, strong smells and perfumes, animal danders (Hair, shed skin cells, saliva), pollen, certain fabrics etc. Its very difficult to identify the allergen. You may try to keep your kid away from above mentioned allergens. Follow your Doctor`s advice. Many kids respond well to this medication- and the episodes of allergy become much less.
