Child Suffering From Dysentery, Passing Smelly Green Color Motion With Bubbles. Medicines Not Effective. Treatment Option?
Hi My son is 4 month old , for the past 14 days he is with dysentry . But he is active .. having regular milk [ breast feed only] . He didn t have fever , cold , cough . But his baby poo sometimes smells , sometimes has bubbles , and sometimes in green colour . As per doctor advise we gave him Enterogermina 2.5 ml / 6 does . that didnt cure him so as per doctor advise we have him taxim o sip . Even today he has gone 4 times . But the colour of the poo is normal . Please advise we are stumbled
If only breastfed your child is not likely to have any serous infection. It is quite normal for breastfed babies to have many stools per day. The word dysentery is used when we find blood and mucus in the stool. Continue the treatment advised. If the child is active and gaining weight there is no need to worry. If there is any doubt you can get the stool examined.
