Child Suffering From Dysentery, Vomiting. Relief With Medications. Measures And Diet To Be Taken?
my 15months son is suffering from dysentry from todays evening i.e, from 16.00hrs to till now for 8 to 10 times with fever 101.7 degree celsious and also vomitting for 3 times.the stool is liquid with shower smell.He has taken HORN O SUSPENSION for dysentry , CROCIN SUSPENSION for fever and EMERCX for vomitting with ORS POWDER.Till now dysentry is not controlled,temperature is normal now and vomitting also normal.whether the treatment is sufficient or not.what other measures can be taken.what kind of diet should be given.

thank you.it may be due to viral cause.you just observe the severe sign of dehydration like dry tongue,shrunken eyeball,lethargic,low urine output.continue ORS after each loose motion.if not improving or severe dehydration develop then hospitalize the baby.

Dysentery requires antibiotic therapy for 1 week to 10 days and stool should be given for culture and sensitivity to know the causative organism and sensitivity to antibiotic so that appropriate antibiotic can be given, So consult your Pediatrician for follow up and for further management.

i think your son is suffering from bacterial dysentry you can use sporolac sachet also, for motion control 2 times day and wait till tomorrow evening.
