Child Tripped, Fell And Cut The Bridge Of Nose. Developed Bump In The Area. Suggestions?
My twenty-two month-old son tripped over, fell into a wooden bench and cut himself on the bridge of his nose , right in between the eyes. Three weeks later, the bump that had developed has not let up and a hard-feeling knot is perceptible when the area is rubbed over. I am concerned, and would deeply appreciate any adice you could give. Thanx a lot. Lulu.

Your son has developed a hematoma on the bridge of the nose following the fall. Hematoma usually takes 4-6 weeks to resolve.However i am more concerned about any internal injury like a nasal fracture and this could only be ruled out after his docter examines and investigates him.So in case he has not been shown to his docter i would recommend that you should get him examined to rule out fracture.
