Child Unable To Feel The Bowel Movement Can Be An Actual Fact Or Behavioral Problem?
I have a 7 yr. old grandson that has a problem with not pooping in the toilet and having accidents in his underware on a daily basis. He says he can't feel when he has to poop. We are not sure if this is actual fact or if he has a behavioral problem.
Thanks for the question. First of all has child never achieved sucessfull stool passage even by 5 year of age, will be important information. If he had achieved and now started doing so then kindly look for following parameters. 1. Does he have constipation or habitually puts pressure to control stool passage. 2. Does he have balanced diet with good fiber and greens 3. Does he have any peer pressure at school
any emotional breakdown can also leaf to the same. If first two parameters are present then simple constipation treatment would settle the problem.
