Child Unable To Sit Or Walk Due To Dizziness. How To Get Rid Of It?
My son, 11 years old, has been unable to sit up or walk without being dizzy for four days. Yesterday, he started getting nosebleeds. He had two yesterday and about 3 or 4 today. They stop fairly easily. He has no headache, is a bit congested, coughs a little. He feels really bad in the mornings but seems to perk up in the afternoon. Decongestants kind of help, according to him, but doesn't stop the dizzyness. I suspect it's a virus but am not sure how to get rid of the dizziness
Hello, I would suggest that you check his temperature and treat him for fevers more than 101F. The illness could be related to influenza or another illness. The nosebleeds may be related to his congestion and swollen nasal passages. Please check that he is able to move his neck towards his chest without difficulty. Patients with conditions such as meningitis will have difficulty doing this. The dizziness is concerning and warrants a visit to your doctor's office, especially since he has not improved for days. Please give your doctor a call.
