Child With A Hard Bump On The Head. No Injury. Has Growth Pains. Need To Get Checked?

My daughter who will be 8 in a few days has a large hard bump right on top of her head in the center
that has appered recently. She cant recall hitting her head on anything but says it hurts to touch. And its not a normal hit your head shape. Its as tho theres a bump on a bump. She also has been complaining she has had headaches and body aches. I thought she was having growing pains like her dad had when he was a kid and would go through growing spurts and have body aches. Im not sure if I should take her to the er or wait until her Dr can see her which is always a few week waiting time.
