Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Relent contains cetrizine/ambroxol. You can continue it. Cough for 1 month is always to be ruled out by investigations. You should go for investigations like cbc, esr, mantoux test and x-ray chest.

You can give levocetrizine/montelukast syrup for allergic cough. Give bronchodilator with ambroxol. Sometimes nebulization is best treatment. Antibiotic is required in case of presence of infection. Consult pediatrician for proper diagnosis after complete investigations and start treatment under his guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Chirag Soni
