Child With High Fever, Cold. Given Pacimol. Is It Dengue?

Hello Dr, My daughter 4 yrs been having high fever past four days, Initially it started with cold , running nose but now it stopped. High fever 104 been there. Consulted my peadiatrician he has given her PACIMOL 60 ml every 4 - 6 hrs while the fever is high. He said until wednesday (21st Nov), need to observe than proceed with WBC and Platelets counts. Pls suggest if this could be Dengue or other Viral fever.

It looks like a viral fever and Dengue may be one probable cause. PACIMOL dose will be 6 ml 4 to 6 th hourly (not 60 ml as u wrote in ur question). CBP and Platelet count should be done and there are Rapid antigenic tests for Dengue to detect early
