Child With Pain In Stomach With Constant Vomiting In The Evenings. No Fever And Diarrhea. Advice
I have an 8 year daughter who started vomiting on Tuesday evening. Went to school on Wednesday and brought her home because she vomited during the afternoon. Wednesday evening vomited again. Same thing happened Thursday evening and Friday evening. She complains her tummy hurts however there has been no diarrhea or fever. Been giving her regular food throughout this time because it seems to stay down most of the day. Any ideas of what it could be?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this type of pain in tummy particularly in a child ( school goer ), these includes. 1 Hyper acidity or gastritis , this is the most common cause in such type of cases. Try raising the head of bed of child about 4 inches with blocks. To help stomach acid one should not take greasy , oily , fatty food . Don'e eat chocolate. 2 Tension in school is one such cause. 3 Most important cause is over feeding . In my opinion mild degree antacid will help, but if symptoms are sever than child may need proton pump inhibitors for some time. Good luck Dr. HET
