Chronic Cough, Mucus, Headaches, Blurred Vision, Eye Pain, Tiredness. Cavernoma Resection Done. Brain Tumor?

I ve been feeling sick for the last 3 weeks. Have a cough that will not go away for over 4 months now, been spewing up mucus . Having bad headaches, can t focus, blurry vision , eyes hurt and need to be rubbed frequently. Feeling tired, and intermittent pain in the shoulder blade, left side. 1 year ago I had a cavernoma resection from the left frontal lobe of my brain. Is it possible that I have another brain tumor? lung cancer?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Are you getting fever?
Presence of mucus , headache, blurry vision indicates some infectious etiology and involvement of sinuses.
You may have myalgia with tiredness due to bacterial/ viral infection.
Yes...as you have past history of cavernoma resection, this possibility can't be rule out.
You should consult with physician and ENT surgeon and should go for CT/ MRI scan brain to rule out intra-cranial pathology.
Cavernoma is not a tumour and doesn't predispose to formation of brain tumour.
You should take antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and anti-histaminics.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
