Clogged Nostril, Pricking In Throat, Swollen Tonsils
With the only other symptom being that my right nostril clogged up, I began to have a feeling of needles or thorns in my throat and eventually down toward my my lower throat, yesterday. This morning, left tonsils are swollen, but the needling was more on the right side of my throat, back palate , and front of my larynyx (spelling?).

The symptoms which you have described are of upper respiratory tract infection,which include pharyngitis and tonsilitis.
You need a course of antibiotic,antihistiminic and nasl decongestant.
