Cloudy And Smelly Urine. Had Bladder Infection. Infection Spreading To Kidney?

I have had many bladder infections and finished another round of antibiotics this summer. I still have cloudy and smelly urine and fear that the infection could have moved into my kidneys. My lower back on each side hurts and feels inflamed. I also worry because I have been hoarse now for a while and constantly clear my throat when I talk. I wonder if these are connected.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You didn't mentioned your age and sex.
You need proper evaluation for recurrent urinary tract infection.
You need few investigation like routine hemogram,RBS,urine RE/ME,urine culture and sensitivity, ultrasound of abdomen, CT Scan may be done if needed.
There are various reasons for UTI depending upon age and sex.
Clinician and investigation can detect ascending infection to kidneys.
Throat infection is not related to UTI at all.
Get well soon.

Take care
