Collision, Large Bruises, Lumps, Deep Burning In Left Hip. X-ray Shows No Broken Bones. Cure?
I had a collision 8 days ago. The seatbelt and airbag subsequently caused huge dark bruises, huge very hard lumps , and a deep burning deep in my left hip. The lumps got bigger over the past couple of days and the burning in my hip is deep. There is no mark over where the intense, and i mean intense, burning is. I bruised my lungs I do know. Xrays show no broken bones. What could it be?

Collision, Large Bruises, Lumps, Deep Burning In Left Hip. X-ray Shows No Broken Bones. Cure?
Hello. Thanks for posting your query. From description it seems to be soft tissue injury over your left hip. These hard lumps are blood collection(haematoma) which might get organised. This may take few weeks to get dissolved. Apply hot fomatation over it. You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation after discussing with your doctor. Avoid putting weight and rest well. Wishing you good health Regards. Dr Saurabh Gupta Orthopaedic surgeon
