Concerned About The Altered Thyroid, Vitamin D And PTH Levels. Suffer From Fatigue And Fibromyalgia. Sigmoid Colon Removed
Hi, I have just been advised that my PTH is 8.1 pmol. I am still waiting for Vitamin d. Calcium is normal. Also my free t3 is low normal at 4.0 pmol with free t4 at 13.9 pmol. Mch is high normal at 31.2 pg. I have been suffering from very bad fatigue and diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have also had part of my sigmoid colon removed. I also cannot tolerate the sun anymore after suffering a severe bout of sun stroke. Any pointers in the right direction would be helpful. Thank you
I suggest first you consult a rheumatologist for a formal and clear testing to be done. There are many clinical syndroimes, especially autoimmmune disease (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, connectuve tissue diseases) that mimic fibromyalgia rheumatica, and these diseases must be ruled out first before any diagnosis of fibromyalgia rheumatica can be made/
If that is done, your management at this stage involves mainly an endocrinologist. Book an appointment with him for a careful evaluation and management.
Thanks and best regards,
